The decision as to where to hold a wedding at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens can be overwhelming.   Wedding ceremonies may be held anywhere on the grounds, from the open and beautiful Schimmel Wedding Lawn and Pavilion, to under the lush foliage of the banyan trees, to the serene and breathtaking area beside Sarasota Bay.  The two most popular areas are the Schimmel Wedding Lawn and Pavilion and the Bayside Oak adjacent to the Christy Payne Mansion.  

For smaller, more intimate, weddings the Mansion, which is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is an ideal location to hold a reception.  Guests can enjoy dinner in the main rooms and sun porch with dancing on the outside patio. 

For larger weddings, The Great Room by the Bay is fabulous with its 60-feet of glass windows facing Sarasota By and its spectacular sunset views.
