The Powel Crosley Estate…A Beautiful Setting For Destination Weddings in Sarasota, Florida

When planning a destination wedding in Sarasota you have many romantic and historic Sarasota wedding reception locations to choose from…many with stunning water views. One of my very favorites is the fabulous Powel Crosley bay front mansion. Not only is it a beautiful and picturesque setting, but this beautiful mansion becomes your private residence for the entire day…not just for the duration of your wedding.
Built by industrialist inventor Powel Crosley in the 1920s, as a winter estate for his wife Gwendolyn , this “Great Gatsby-ish” bayfront mansion offers sweeping waterfront views and is a picturesque setting for weddings, with space available on both floors. Guests are just mesmerized by the estate and continually comment that this is one of the most beautiful locations they have ever seen for a wedding.
The Crosley Estate features the graceful styling and architecture of a bygone era yet has all the modern amenities that make for the successful staging of a very stylish wedding.
The sunset on beautiful Sarasota Bay is a feast for the eyes and for the spirit and is the perfect time for cocktails on the Pavilion…move t0 the Great Room for dinner and then dance on the patio under the stars.
This jewel of a bygone era, the historic Powel Crosley Museum, prominently sits on the majestic Sarasota bayfront. It is located at One Seagate Drive, 8374 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida.
